Paul’s influences are Alfred Hitchcock, Quentin Tarantino, Steven Soderbergh, Kevin Smith, and Stanley Kubrick. ![]() Paul DOP’d the 35mm short film Dream Gamblers and the feature high definition project Finder Of Lost Children, which was listed on the BC Film Commission’s website. After VFS ended the first time, Paul took every DOP job available, pay or no pay. Paul also fought to DOP a final project shot on sexy super-16 film that show was Sarubia Club. This inspired his interest in film, leading him to produce David Conley’s stylish City Of Gloom while at VFS. He then decided to go to film school, first for film production and a year later for screenwriting.ĭuring his childhood Paul was around music all the time and when he wasn’t, he was in front of a TV with his mother and father. He spent two years at Manhattan School of Music before touring with The Duke Ellington Orchestra, as its musical director, since 1996. He is also a writer/director from Denmark. Paul Ellington is the Executor of the Lene, Mercer & Edward Kennedy “Duke” Ellington Estates.
